Back to the couch

Don’t know what it was, perhaps the beautiful weather outside, but I decided today would be a good day to learn how to run.  Yep.  If you ask me to run a mile, i’m going to say there is a 99% chance that I wouldn’t be able to do it.  One summer, my avid runner friend Rachel, forced me to run around the track with her.  I was able to run a mile by the end of summer.  That was about 8 years ago.  Yep.

So it is the start of Couch-to-5K for me.  Day 1 accomplished, wasn’t too bad.  Although, I do question if I’m running correctly.  I find that if I land on the balls of my feet, I was able to run a little bit longer without getting really tired than if I landed on the heel.  Not sure which form is correct but I didn’t fall today.  Check!

My Studio

So I randomly decided that today would be a good day to look into how to make my photographs look better and apparently, one of the many things I lack is lighting.  After researching on Amazon and seeing how much it would cost to actually buy real equipment, I proceeded to spend hours researching DIY lighting sources.  I finally settled with making stuff out of PVC piping, so here is how I spent the last 4 hours.

Calvin and I went to Home Depot and bought a ton of stuff.

So right now, I have my living room set up as my “studio”.  It’s pretty fabulous!  Calvin did a few poses for me, but I’m sure he’ll share those with you on his FB.
